to NFPA-10 4-5.1.4, Conversion of Fire
Extinguisher Types. “No Fire Extinguisher
shall be converted from one type to another,
nor shall any fire extinguisher be converted
to use a different type of extinguishing
agent. Fire extinguishers shall not be
used for any other purpose than that of
a fire extinguisher”.
