Hand Portables, Wheeled Units and Pre-Engineered
systems?
Yes.
ANSUL has published a manual for its distributors
with technical data such as tank and pressure
vessel test pressures, test intervals
and hydrostatic test adapters for all
products covered in this manual.
- From an end-users
stand point, why should they use an authorized
ANSUL distributor and how can they tell
if the servicing company is an authorized
distributor for ANSUL Incorporated?
Fire protection products require proper
maintenance and service to operate properly.
If the products are not installed properly,
are abused in service, or are not properly
maintained; the product may not perform
properly. ANSUL does not take any responsibility
or liability for damages of any kind,
or for warranty claims which are due to
improper installation, maintenance or
service.
ANSUL requires regular training of its
distributors in proper installation and
service of its products. We also provide
owner’s manuals and product installation,
operation and maintenance manuals, as
well as product up-dates to authorized
distributors for the particular ANSUL
products they are authorized to carry.
For these reasons, we recommend that authorized
ANSUL distributors who are trained in
and authorized for a particular product
line be used for installation, service
and maintenance of ANSUL products.
Upon authorizing a company to become a
distributor, ANSUL requires that the distributorship
and individual employees attend training
programs conducted by ANSUL personnel.
The individual is required to attend the
complete course of instruction and pass
a final exam. Distributorships and individuals
upon completion receive a certificate
of completion. All certificates of completion
carry the product type, the name of the
individual, the expiration date, and the
name of the individual distributorship.
A distributorship is required by ANSUL
to maintain staff employees with current
training in the product lines it handles.
- Is there
an alternate extinguisher to replace Halon
1211 Extinguishers?
Yes, ANSUL has produced a new
product line of Clean Agent extinguishers.
CLEANGUARD® Extinguishers contain
FE-36™ Agent – a colorless,
odorless, electrically non-conductive
“Clean” agent which has been
designed for use on fires in computer
rooms, essential communication areas,
irreplaceable data, documents, etc.
- What are
the warranties on ANSUL Extinguishers?
SENTRY® hand portable extinguishers
have a manufacturers warranty of six years.
RED LINE® cartridge-operated extinguishers
and ANSUL Wheeled units have a manufacturers
warranty of 12 years.
