Handline Nozzles and Eductors

Handline Nozzles can be used with a variety of foam concentrates for a variety of applications. The nozzles are constructed of corrosion resistant materials, and are lightweight for ease of handling.

Foam handline nozzle types available include air aspirating low expansion, medium expansion, and dual expansion (low/medium variable).

Eductors create a foam solution by adding a percentage of foam concentrate into the pressurized water stream for the handline nozzles.

Additional Product Information

Handle Nozzles

Designed for industrial and municipal use the Handline Nozles are lightweight and rugged. Adjustable tip offers a straight stream, various fog patterns, 180° water curtain, and a complete shutoff. Nozzle is available with nominal flow rates of 60, 95, 125 gpm (227, 360, or 47 Lpm).

Low Expansion Foam Handline Nozzles

The KR-S low-expansion foam handline nozzles can be used with all low expansion foam agents such as fluoroprotein, AFFF, alcohol resistant AFFF, and Class A foam concentrates. These portable, air aspirating nozzles can be used in a variety of flammable liquid hazard areas using ANSULITE Class B foam concentrates. Typical applications include municipal fire departments and crash-fire-rescue (CFR) vehicles, or for handline applications around tank farms, loading racks, aircraft hangars and chemical plants. Foam concentrate may be proportioned to the nozzle using the matching ANSUL Model Z eductor.

Available Models:
  • KR-S2 Low Expansion Nozzle, 60 gpm (227 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)
  • KR-S4 Low Expansion Nozzle, 120 gpm (454 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)
Medium Expansion Foam Handline Nozzles

KR-M medium-expansion foam handline nozzles can be used with various types of foam agents. The advantage of medium expansion foam compared to low expansion foam is that far more foam can be produced using less water. For some hazard types (e.g., tire fires), three-dimensional protection can be achieved. Medium expansion foam is also effective when injected through door, window or basement openings. Foam concentrate may be proportioned to the nozzle using the matching ANSUL Model Z eductor.

Available Models:

  • KR-M2 Medium Expansion Nozzle, 60 gpm (227 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)
  • KR-M4 Medium Expansion Nozzle, 120 gpm (454 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)

Dual Expansion Foam Handline Nozzles

Dual Expansion Foam Handline Nozzles provide two nozzles in one, offering the capability to change over from medium to low expansion foam in seconds. The KR-S/M dual-expansion foam handline nozzles can be used with various types of foam agents. Foam concentrate may be proportioned to the nozzle using the matching ANSUL Model Z eductor.

Available Models:

  • KR-S/M2 Dual Expansion Nozzle, 60 gpm (227 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)
  • KR-S/M4 Dual Expansion Nozzle, 120 gpm (454 Lpm) @ 100 psi (7 bar)
HL Series Air-Aspirating Foam Handline Nozzles

Foam handline nozzles can be used with all low expansion foam agents: protein foam, fluoroprotein foam, and AFFF. These portable, air aspirating nozzles can be used in a variety of flammable liquid hazard areas. Typical applications include use by municipal fire departments and crash-fire-rescue vehicles or for handline applications around tank farms, loading racks, aircraft hangar and chemical plants. Compatible with ANSUL line proportioners (Models: PL-60, PL-95, and PL-120).

Available Models (S indicates with pistol-grip shutoff):

  • HL-60, HL-60S Air Aspirating Nozzle, 60 gpm (227 Lpm) nominal
  • HL-95, HL-95S Air Aspirating Nozzle, 95 gpm (360 Lpm) nominal
  • HL-120, HL-120S Air Aspirating Nozzle, 120 gpm (454 Lpm) nominal
Foam Eductors

Z model eductors are designed to introduce a variable percentage of foam concentrate into a pressurized water stream. They provide an inexpensive foam proportioning means where available water supply pressures are adequate. Typical applications include use by municipal fire departments, industrial fire brigades and CFR type vehicle personnel.

The eductors have a metering valve adjustable from 0% to 6% concentration and a flexible pick-up hose for the foam concentrate. A check valve prevents water from flowing back through the pick-up hose. Typical operating pressure at the inlet to the eductor should be 125-175 psi (8.6-12.1 bar).

These eductors can be used with all ANSUL foam concentrates. Matching the foam nozzle with the eductor will ensure proper performance.

Available Models:

  • Z-2 Foam Eductor, 60 gpm (227 Lpm)
  • Z-4 Foam Eductor, 120 gpm (454 Lpm)
